We had elegance in mind when we designed the Countryside Sleigh Bed. This begins with a traditional sleigh bed design in rustic pine to create a casual environment that will have a soothing effect the moment you set foot in your bedroom. We then add softening leaf metal accents to the base of the footboard and to the top of the headboard to give this piece the comforting feel of an antique. These metal accents are individually handcrafted to deliver smooth, flowing lines.
We build each Countryside Sleigh Bed to last a lifetime by using solid pine and select pine veneers. All moldings, base rails, frames, and posts are crafted of solid pine as well. Our intensive finishing process includes two protective topcoats, burnishing, and hand-padding. We then add subtle highlights and use dry brushing and antiquing techniques to achieve this distinctive look.

The story of Vaughan Furniture started in 1923 on a small farm in southwest Virginia with two brothers, Taylor G. and Bunyan C. Vaughan. Along with their families, they set out to build a furniture manufacturing business that would survive the Great Depression to become the established Vaughan family legacy that endures today.
